The Wizard of Oz

When I was in elementary school one of the things that I look forward to every month is the film showing day, each class would have a film showing scheduled once every month. I remembered this one movie in particular which we watched when I was in fourth grade, it was the Wizard of Oz and I have been fascinated with the movie ever since. I was reminded of this film when I saw an article online about the now abandoned defunct Land of Oz theme park which opened in 1970. I was saddened to see how eerie the yellow brick now seems to be and wondered why it closed in the first place.
